It is the process of printing your guests' names and addresses on
your invitation envelopes...so you do not have to hand address
them. This includes printing both the inside and outside envelopes
using one of our beautiful calligraphy fonts. The addresses will
be printed in black ink using our high resolution laser printers. Our
software automatically centers each address by calculating its width
and height. This creates a beautiful and balanced appearance on every
envelope, no matter how big or small the address.
Note:
Invitation addressing is free if you purchase your wedding invitations
from Bride's Mate.
The return address is your home address and is printed on the back
flap of the outside envelope. It is highly recommended on wedding
invitations because incorrectly addressed invitations are returned
to you (by the post office). This alerts you that the invitation did
not reach the intended guest. It also provides your out of town guests
with an address to which they can forward their wedding gifts.
Note:
The return address is often confused with the mailing address
printed on the envelopes for your response or R.S.V.P cards.
There are several different ways you can provide your list to us. One way is
to enter your guests' names and addresses into our Bride's Mate
software program. This easy to use Windows software program runs on an
IBM or compatible computer. Go to our Software Description page for more details
on the "Bride's Mate" software. You can download the "Bride's Mate"
software from this web site from the Software Download page.
If you prefer you can enter your guests' names and addresses in Microsoft
Word, Excel, Access, or other software programs. Please review our
suggestions for entering and sending your guest list on our File Format page. There is also a page with some
great information on addressing etiquette. If you
still have any questions, call us at 1-800-279-1989.
Note:
Note: No hand written or typed lists are accepted.
Yes. For example, if you had ordered 100 invitations and had only
90 names on your address list, Bride's Mate would send you the 10
extra inside and outside envelopes. If you had ordered your return
address on the back flap of all 100 invitation envelopes, the extra
outside envelopes would be sent with the return address printed.
Does Bride's Mate calligraphy address place cards?
Yes! This is a great bargain. Bride's Mate will supply you with up
to 200 place cards, with your guests' names printed on them, for $79.95.
Call us at 1-800-279-1989 for more details.
Can I order invitations before my guest list is complete?
Yes. You do NOT have to send in your invitation order and addressing
order together. Many customers place their invitation order prior to
sending their address list (because it usually takes more time to
complete the guest list).
Your invitations will be printed within a week and drop shipped directly
from the printer. If you decide to use our Invitation Addressing service,
your envelopes will remain at Bride's Mate waiting the arrival of
your addressing order.
No. Many people confuse the inner envelope with the response or R.S.V.P.
card envelope. They are not the same. The inner envelope actually
holds the invitation itself and slides into the outer addressed envelope.
The inner envelope usually has the guest's name without an address
(example: Miss Jones and Guest).
Is Invitation Addressing available on Lined Envelopes?
It depends. Certain liner and envelope combinations (sometimes called "Lined Inner Envelopes") get
jammed up in our laser printers. Please check with Bride's Mate at 1-800-279-1989 and let us know what
invitation and liner you are considering. We will make a determination for you.
Note:
Every invitation is available with unlined envelopes. Invitations are
normally priced without the lined envelopes and a price adder is given
for the liner.
Note:
Note: If you elect to purchase a "lined inner envelope" which we cannot print on, Bride's
Mate can still address your outside envelopes (Liners are usually offered on inside
envelopes only.)
